The Information and Ideas Domain starts on page 101 of the Digital SAT Study Guide and runs through page 129.

What It's About

The Information and Ideas Domain typically includes 12 to 14 questions and accounts for approximately 26 percent of your verbal score.

Question Types

The Information and Ideas Domain includes three types of questions:

  • Central Ideas: What is the passage mostly about?
  • Command of Evidence: Tests your ability to identify evidence either from text or from quantitative data.
  • Inference: Tests your ability to draw conclusions from passages.
